WHO IS YOUR ADVISER?

This is question we all have to ask ourselves. It is a well known fact that no man has a monopoly of knowledge,at one point or the other there might be need to seek counsel concerning very important issues. The adviser and the quality of advice given may determine the outcome of a situation.Acting on wrong advice may lead to bigger problems. Therefore the person or people you turn to for counseling is very important.
Some people have the habit of narrating every issue or situations in their lives to friends, invariably they are more likely to be bombarded with different shades of advice, at times detrimental to their wellbeing. Some take their relationship issues to their friends and family members, who at times advice them base on sentiments.
Who then should be your adviser?
1,Someone who has shown the ability to be sincere and trustworthy.
2,Someone who is more knowledgeable in the area you need advice.
3,Someone who has your best interest at heart.Do not ask for advice or counsel from anyone you are not convinced is favorably dispose towards you.
4,Someone with the fear of God in him/her.This is very important because godly counsel is ultimately the best even though you may not like it at the time it was given.
5,Finally,allow the word of God to counsel you. There is nothing you need that has not be taken care of in the word of God.Meditate on the word of God,have a close relationship with your maker, you will have all the answers to your problems.Christ is your ultimate counselor!
